In Our First Steps To God
We learn Jesus, who is God, is the most eminent person who ever lived.
And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself. John 12:32 WEB
The Father, God, says no one can come to Jesus unless God first draws him.
His time as a man on earth, His word, His unfathomable love would have been enough.
God purposed that miracles follow His kingdom.
His miracles have affected more people than anyone else in history.
His birth and ministry, prophesied hundreds of years before in the old testament.
Jesus is the Word of God.
The second person of the Trinity of God.
The Bible is the best selling book of all time.
His kingdom spans above culture, race, and world boundaries.
People have found in Him, what they could not find anywhere else.
Jesus says the Father must first draw all people unto Him.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him,
and I will raise him up in the last day. John 6:44 WEB

This scripture tells us the truth.
That anyone who is seeking God is seeking Him because God has put a desire into the heart of the person to want to know Him.
1. Seek Him
People seek Him desiring to know Him and come to Him.
In relationships, online, and searching in the world to fill the void that Jesus can fill.
In the Bible we see how to find Him.
But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. John 6:33 WEB
This is the first great understanding.
Your seeking is to find what Jesus died on the cross for you to find.
In stepping out to seek, His kingdom begins to help you find.
His thoughts toward us are good.
God draws us to Jesus.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB
He gives us a blue print to follow. His immutable Word.
His love gave us free will to accept Him or reject Him.
2. God Sent Heaven’s Best – He is Love
God sent Jesus, heavens best to redeem mankind.
Men were evil and God knew all mankind would continue to sin.
In continuous sin, mankind condemned all to death.
Blood is required to atone for man’s sins.
We know all have sinned, in either thought or deed.
“for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23 WEB
God who is love sent Jesus to die instead because God is good.
God had a plan to save sinners.
He atoned once for all for forgiveness of sin.
God made the plan available to all and we decide to accept or reject Him.
He is love and with His great love He wants everyone to choose to accept His love and salvation.
If we refuse to think about it or choose not to accept then we would condemn ourselves to a life here without Jesus.
We also would choose to not be with Jesus in heaven for all eternity.
The devil has a plan and it is not good.
Praise God His plans and love for us always prevail over the darkness.
This is the second great understanding.
Jesus is the Lamb of God who came to take away the sin of the world.
In submitting to His plan and receiving him with belief we become sons or daughters in His kingdom. John 10 30 WEB
We choose life now and forever more.
*For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. John 3:16-17 WEB
3. How To Choose Life
Become born again from above by Jesus.
When asked over 2,000 years ago by Nicodemus, Jesus gave us the only way: 2
Jesus answered him, “Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3 WEB
The Bible tells us this way is the only means to experiencing God on earth and forever.
His plan allows us to walk in a loving relationship here, and with Him in heaven for all eternity.
Acknowledge your sins.
We must first realize our sin and that we have a natural sin nature.
We are born into it.
The fall of Adam and Eve has come down through all flesh.
We need to admit that we are a sinner out loud.
Confess and turn from our sins to restore our right relationship with Jesus.
The Bible says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB
Believe in Gods redemption.
God the Father sent His son, Jesus to the world more than 2000 years ago to die for our sin.
To restore us to Himself.
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him. Romans 5:8-9 WEB
Accept Jesus Christ into your life.
Jesus Christ is ready to come into your life once you invite Him.
This is the third great understanding.
The Bible says:
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 WEB
4. How We Accept Him
We can not work our way to God. We are not saved just because our parents were.
Our relationship with Him comes from the heart and can not be bought nor faked.
He sees into our hearts.
The Bible says that salvation comes only this way:
But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7 WEB

Do you know if God has accepted you into the beloved?
The Bible shows us clearly.
Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. 1 John 3:1 WEB
It is the single most important decision we can ever make.
This is the fourth great understanding.
Still, some people have thought long about this.
What it means to be a true Christian and yet have never made a commitment.
Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. John 15:9 WEB
5. How To Believe and Receive Jesus
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. Romans 10:9-13 WEB
This is the fifth great understanding.
Let us Pray and Believe to Receive New Life:
Dear Jesus, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now.
I’ve lived for myself and that is wrong.
I need You in my life; I want You in my life.
Today, I believe and confess out loud, the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ.
Yes, I know that Jesus gave His life for me on the cross at Calvary.
I want to receive the forgiveness, you have made available to me through this great sacrifice.
From this day forward, I will no longer give control to sin.
Forgive me of my sin, I renounce it and turn away from it.
I will let go of the desire to please myself.
Your word lets me know that if I, believe in my heart, I will be right with You.
I confess and speak out loud that Jesus is my Lord.
Today, I know in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.
Today, I know I am born again.
No one can take me out of Your hand.
Lord, Thank you for coming into my life.
Thank you for healing me, restoring me.
I pray this and plead the blood of Christ over me.
Please take up residence in my heart and be my Lord, Savior, and Master.
I will follow You all the days of my life.
Those days are in Your hands.
Thank you, In Jesus precious and holy name.
Amen. ©MVK
